Cardiac safety in sports – our partnership with the Rhineland Sports Federation
Sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone—especially during sports. This is exactly where we want to start: Together with the Rhineland Sports Federation (SBR), we are now committed to improving cardiac safety and first aid in sports clubs. Many clubs have tended to treat the subject of defibrillators as a side issue up to now. Yet a functioning device can mean the difference between life and death in an emergency.
Through our cooperation with the SBR, we want to raise awareness of this and at the same time make access easier: SBR member clubs receive discounts on defibrillators and first aid equipment from us – including individual advice, training, and regular maintenance. “We are interested in ensuring that real help can be provided in an emergency – with well-trained personnel and reliable technology,” says Stefan Böhm, Sales Director and General Manager at ultraMEDIC.
Together with the SBR, we are currently working on a new first aid offering specifically for sports clubs. In the future, clubs in the Rhineland will be able to purchase selected equipment at a discount via a customized online shop. The launch of this offering will be announced shortly. We are delighted that this collaboration will bring a little more safety to sport – for players, coaches, spectators, and everyone else involved on and off the field.
