The intended use of the ultraBASKET STRETCHER rescue stretcher series is as a basket stretcher. Use as a basket stretcher, i.e. pulling over the floor, is possible in principle, but is associated with very high wear on the tray floor. We offer four nylon plastic skids as accessories for this purpose. These are factory-fitted and recommended for use as a basket stretcher.
The stability of the two-part version, the ultraBASKET STRETCHER TWIN, is even slightly higher compared to the one-part version due to the necessary connecting pins and the securing mechanism on the underside, in the centre of the stretcher, as the area of greatest force application within the two-part basket stretcher is additionally reinforced.
Basket stretchers from the ultraBASKET STRETCHER series are medical devices that can be inspected by any person who is aware of the implications of the decision as part of the annual inspection in accordance with the Medical Devices Operator Ordinance. Detailed information on this can be found in the instructions for use under "Maintenance".
The basket stretchers in the ultraBASKET STRETCHER series (one-part/two-part version) are suitable for use on turntable ladders. The vehicle manufacturer approves the use of the models with the respective brackets. It is therefore advisable to consult the vehicle manufacturer.

There is no specified period of use for the ultraBASKET STRETCHER rescue stretchers. The basket stretchers can be used without restriction as long as the prescribed annual, documented inspection does not reveal any defects. Only the textile components such as the patient harnesses and the all-round running safety rope for fastening should be replaced after 10 years of use.

No, it is crucial to attach the safety belts to the surrounding rope. This is the only way to ensure that the patient is effectively secured during transport and that the straps are tight against the body.
The basket stretcher has 4 attachment points for abseiling or transport slings, recognisable by a round metal eyelet on the sides. Due to the load distribution when transporting a patient, these are not arranged symmetrically. Any slings may only be attached to these eyelets and not to the recessed grips or other points.
